Louisville Urban League: Run with Us

  • In 2017, the city of Louisville issued an RFP to develop a 24-acre vacant site in West Louisville, an area that has experienced decades of disinvestment, redlining, and toxic pollution. Louisville Urban League CEO Sadiqa Reynolds had a vision to address just one of the many opportunity gaps in the area: a world-class facility dedicated to supporting and training young athletes — specifically runners. The $40 million project was designed to create a lasting impact on the community, economy, student culture, and health for generations to come.

The Louisville Urban League reached out to KERTIS to develop a campaign aimed at raising $20 million by selling naming rights to the complex's 4,000 seats. KERTIS created a series of campaign assets, including campaign slogan #RunWithUs, an Anthem Video, Youth-oriented appeal videos, and a photo series. During the groundbreaking event, the group raised nearly $300,000 from seat sales alone.

After an incredibly successful fundraising and community effort, The North Healthcare Sports & Learning Center opened in 2021.
