Hadley Pottery is an iconic American-based pottery and stoneware company started by artist, visionary, and keen entrepreneur Mary Alice Hadley in 1939. Though Hadley has a strong fan base across the nation, they were interested in in broadening their awareness, reaching new audiences, and helping the company move into a new generation of ownership.

Our challenge became how to redefine Hadley as a timeless luxury brand and to ensure its story resonates as an unblemished embodiment of artisanship, technique, and individuality.

How better to tell that story than through the building and the people - both full of stories wound tightly to the legacy of Hadley. Many of the employees (who hand paint the pottery), have been at Hadley for 40 years or more, and the building still bears the thumbprint of Mary Alice, with her sketches across the many walls.

Through an in depth documentation in both photo and video, weʼve been able to bring their story to life in a new way, and direct audiencesʼ attention to the ways that excellence is manifested: in its creation; in its function; in its historical, cultural, and artistic thematics; and in its presentation and value.
