The Grawemeyer Awards were started by H. Charles Grawemeyer, industrialist, entrepreneur, astute investor and philanthropist. The award celebrates excellence/impact in 5 areas (Music, Political Science, Psychology, Education, Religion). One winner in each area receives 100k to further their work. Grawemeyer distinguished the awards by honoring ideas rather than lifelong achievement, also insisting that laypeople as well as professionals take part in the selection process.

We’re currently engaged in efforts to amplify the awareness and impact of the Grawemeyer Award. In 2022, we developed a video to anchor the mission and vision of Grawemeyer. We’re currently working to document the stories of award recipients.
